The Altoona Curve is a minor league baseball team based in Altoona, Pennsylvania. They are the Double-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates and play their home games at Peoples Natural Gas Field. The Curve were founded in 1998 and began play in the Eastern League in 1999.

The Altoona Curve nickname is a reference to the Horseshoe Curve, a railroad curve located just outside of Altoona. The Horseshoe Curve is one of the most famous railroad curves in the world, and it is a symbol of the city's rich railroad history.
