NFL Legend Brett Favre Dead At 54

 




The NFL community lost one of it's most prominent historical figures Saturday night when Hall of Famer and Green Bay Packers legend Brett Favre died suddenly of a heart attack in his Sumrall, Mississippi home at the age of 54.

Favre's accomplishments on the field put him in the category of the best ever; for nearly two decades the Kiln, Mississippi native virtually rewrote the NFL's record book for quarterbacks, winning a Super Bowl after the 1996 season and winning the league's MVP trophy on three occasions.

He was recently embroiled in a controversey over the spending of COVID relief funds for an arena at his Alma Matter, Southern Miss, for their volleyball team, on which his daughter played, But Favre remained a beloved elderstatesman for the league years after his retirement.

Brett Favre is survived by his wife and two daughters.
