Richmond Black Widows
The Richmond Black Widows are a women's American football team based in Richmond, Virginia. They are a member of the Women's Football Alliance (WFA). They are the first women's football team in Richmond, and currently the only team in Virginia. They played their inaugural season in April 2016.
The Black Widows name was chosen to represent the team's strength, determination, and resilience. The black widow spider is a venomous spider that is known for its ferocity and protectiveness. The Black Widows team embodies these qualities, and they are committed to competing at the highest level.
