Jim Harbaugh Announces Resignation As Michigan Head Coach

Jim Harbaugh's Michigan Wolverines rode his wave of "Us against the world" straight to a National Championship on Monday after knocking off Alabama and Washington to claim the school's first title in more than a quarter of a century.

But as amazing as the story may have been, and as satisfying as this may have been for Wolverines fans, there was still the cloud hanging over the program, with the NCAA fallout from from the 'Signal-Gate" scandal and Harbaugh himself being conspicuously silent about his own future.

The question didn't take long to play out; Jim Harbaugh will be the next coach of the NFL's Las Vegas Raiders.

Details of the contract were leaked Tuesday night, and it's easy to see why Harbaugh is moving on.

$21 Million a year for 5 years.  More control than any coach this side of Bill Belichick; Harbaugh will apparently have signifigant draft and personnel input.

The official contract details areexpected to be released by the end of the week.
