Buckland Belugas

Buckland Belugas

The Buckland Belugas are a team of Indigenous youth hockey players in Buckland, Alaska. The team is named after the beluga whales that migrate to the area each summer. The beluga whale is a sacred animal to the Inupiat people of Alaska, and the Buckland Belugas hockey team is a way for the community to honor their culture and heritage.
