RISD Nads
The Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) Nads are the school's ice hockey team. They are a member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division III. The Nads play their home games at Brown University's Meehan Ice Rink in Providence, Rhode Island.
The Nads are a unique and memorable team name. It is a play on the word "nuts", which is a slang term for testicles. The name is meant to be humorous and irreverent, and it reflects the school's free-spirited and creative culture. And it gets better. Men's volleyball? The Cocks. Rowing team? The Coxswains. Football team? Rams. And oh... their basketball team.
