The Laurel Hill Hoboes are a high school athletic team in Laurel Hill, Florida. The name "Hoboes" has its roots in the town's history as a railroad town. In the early days of the railroads, hoboes were itinerant workers who traveled from job to job by riding freight trains. Laurel Hill was a popular stop for hoboes because it was a major railroad junction.
