Iowa Hawkeyes Preview 2023

The Iowa Hawkeyes are coming off a 10-win season in 2022, their most wins since 2015. They return a number of key players, including quarterback Cade McNamara, running back Tyler Goodson, and wide receiver Charlie Jones.

McNamara is a transfer from Michigan who threw for 2,170 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2022. He will be the starter for the Hawkeyes in 2023. Goodson is a two-time All-Big Ten running back who rushed for 1,151 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. Jones is a dynamic wide receiver who caught 62 passes for 804 yards and six touchdowns in 2022.

The Hawkeyes also return a strong defense, led by linebacker Jack Campbell. Campbell was a first-team All-Big Ten selection in 2022. He led the Hawkeyes with 108 tackles and 10.5 tackles for loss.

The Hawkeyes have a favorable schedule in 2023. They play six home games, including matchups against Penn State, Michigan State, and Purdue. They also play at Iowa State and Nebraska.

I predict that the Hawkeyes will win 10 games in 2023. They have the talent to compete for a Big Ten title, and they should be a contender for a New Year's Six bowl game.
